Description
Lately I've been looking at a lot of artists who make solid 3 dimension paintings of characters. The paintings I've seen looked like a lot of fun, and I wanted to give it a try for myself. I'm glad I tried to do this because it got me to practice digital painting, which is something I'm still not quite used to.
As always, critiques and constructive criticism are welcomed and appreciated. Don't be afraid of offending me.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique
ImpactFirstly, great concept! I chuckled when I saw what the pack on the character's back said!
I like the colours you have used as they are not sterotypical 'cow' colours. The green colour scheme works well and adds a dark atmosphere to the piece.
The shadows and highlights are well done and contribute to a well-rounded, pseudo-3D image.
It would be interesting to see this concept continued as a short series of characters...and maybe even a picture of a group of them.
My rationale:
Vision - 5: You really have had a very clear image in your head while producing this. The lines are clear and smooth and the whole piece has great coherency.
Originality - 3:: I love the idea but its nothing new. Maybe expanding upon the story or concept behind the piece would remedy this?
Technique - 4:Great technique - using digital painting. The shadows and reflections upon the surfaces of the subject are excellent. The posing is great and facial expressions are perfect. I also love the humour in the picture.
Impact - 4.5:The piece conveys such a great idea - it is incredibly effective and striking.
Overall: Great work, keep it up!
